Beyond the ube cakes and mango cake, Jennivee's has created more than 20 jobs specifically for Chicago's queer and Filipino communities, making it as much a community project as a bakery. House-made gelato is also a draw.

This Halsted St cafe, open since 2024, is an expansion of the original Jennivee's Bakery on Sheffield Ave, also in Lakeview -- both under the same owner and mission. Closed Mondays; there's patio seating on warmer days.
